Barefoot Bowls Club (not to be mistaken with the sport traditionally played by senior citizens) is a Melbourne four-piece started by siblings Astrid and Clancy Watt in 2017. A band with only two members isn't much of a club so they brought Grace Snow on board with her melodic bass lines and an extensive distortion pedal collection. The fourth bowler, Kate Dougherty, stands front and center with a mesmerizing, commanding presence playing everything from the harmonica to the vibraslap- she's the Cherry on top of this indie-rock outfit.
The band really draws you in with their catchy pop-rock sound, with songs about tinder, being sun smart, passing out on the train and growing up in the south east suburbs of Melbourne. With an upcoming album, this exciting band are not too be missed.
